Restored Original Film
Escape to Southwest Florida in 1931! "Naples on the Gulp" is a rare, home-made documentary originally produced by Dr. Earl Baum (a prominent Naples' resident of yesteryear). The film was restored in 2007 through the support of the Naples Historical Society. Offering a bit of everything, this parody of the local social scene presents one-of-kind images of the old Naples Hotel, beach vistas and recreational activities of Naples' original residents. The cast features famous area founders as well as many charming scenes of local life, love and humor in the 1930s. The film is now available to purchase in our gift shop for $14.99 plus tax.
